About Friesian is a horse breed originating from the Friesland province of the Netherlands. The gastro pub’s name is a nod to Grand Rapids’ rich Dutch heritage, as well as to Zan and Phil’s Friesian roots. While we may have a few Dutch-inspired items on the menu, we are not an exclusively Dutch-themed environment.
